Where Did the Name Agnes Creek Come From?

Agnes Creek is a unique name with a touching and loving story. The company was named after a creek that had no name — at least no official name. The creek ran beside the western border of the company’s property. When trying to name the creek, they decided to name it in honour of John Sommerfeld’s wife, Agnes. Agnes Creek then became a focal point of the property and the area. It was only fitting that the name of the company stem from this wonderfully-named creek and Agnes Creek Sawmill was born.
